UPDATE 01/01/13: Swathes of edits and improvements have been made thanks to abcboyck's help. Unova and Fiore have been revamped and corrected, deserts have been added, more icons are dotted around everywhere, city/town errors have been corrected and various other tweaks.

A map of the Pokéworld as if it was really the same shape as Japan. Thanks to :iconabcboyck: for a vast number of suggestions and corrections, to :iconkox9sxe: for massive help with Oblivia and Holon, to :icondewitty: for the original Sky Pillar and Abandoned Ship icons, and to :iconred-gyrados: for the volcano icon.

All custom-made except Tohjo, of course, which is from HGSS itself, although it is edited.

And, yes, I am aware that Unova is actually based on New York. I placed it on top of Vladivostok because it has a similar two-river thing, and I didn't want to have to include another continent.
In the same way, I know that Orre is based on Phoenix, Arizona, but I put it there because it had mostly Hoenn and Johto mons, and seemed to fit nicely in that gap.

Still looking for help choosing the best location for Fiore, and any suggestions for additional locations welcome.

I was wondering, what made you decide to place Oblivia where it is? Is that just because it fits in well there, or is there some actual information that states it is North of Johto?

No, there were just a couple of islands there that I adapted to fit Oblivia. I don't know of any information about its relation to other regions.
